December 3 , 2007 ~ Cabins Constructed!
There are now three cabins constructed in the subdivision with more planned, and the recreation area is almost finished.
September 24, 2007 ~ Phone's Service Installed & Recreation Area Started 
The phone lines are now installed. Today also marks the beginning of construction on the recreational area which features a tennis court, a half-basketball court, a volleyball court, and a pavilion.
March 23, 2007 ~ Google Earth Updated!
The wonderful people at Google have updated the Scofield area to HIGH RESOLUTION photos! The bad news is the colors are way yellow, and the pictures were taken at the driest time of year.
Google Earth may not be as good as visiting the property in person, it is an excellent way of getting the area and terrain down. Be sure to pan down to see the elevation changes (as in picture above). You can also adjust the opacity of the images on the bottom of the places window.

July 18, 2006~ Lots are Ready for Building!
Now that the electricity is installed to all lots in Phase I & II, and the water system has been tested, our new happy residents can begin building their dream cabins.
June 29, 2006 ~ Electricity Being Installed
We are currently putting the power into all the lots in Phase A, 1 & 2. As this is constructed near the roads, you may experience some inconvenience in getting around the development for the next two weeks.
July 19, 2005 ~ Phases I, II and A are Ready to Sell!
After seven years in the approval process, on July 19, 2005, Scofield Mountain Estates was recorded with the county, and we are now selling lots. We recently sold some of the most desirable lots, and are now receiving many inquiries each week, therefore, when you find the lot you want--don't hesitate to call or email. Our roads have recently been upgraded to with smooth gravel and are 66 feet or 30 feet wide. The water system is now installed and as soon as the snow melts we'll be installing the phones and electricity. If you want to visit the property during the winter months, you should take snowmobiles.
Short-term financing is available upon request and approval for lots over $100,000. Terms are 15-year mortgage with a five year call (total loan is due at the end of the five years). Interest rates follow the following schedule:

Scofield Triathlon
Each summer Scofield hosts the nation's highest triathlon. This event is fun for families and athletes alike. Visit their site for more info.
Pioneer Days
Pioneer days are the first weekend in July. They feature a dinner Friday night, a breakfast and a parade Saturday morning, food games, vendors, and fireworks at Dusk. For more information visit www.pleasantvalleydays.com.
Covenant Highlights
To understand all the covenants associated with Scofield Mountain Estates please read the entire Covenants.
We would, however, like to highlight some of the key points of the covenants document here below:
1. Owner is part of the Scofield Mountain Estates Homeowners Association (SMEHA).
2. Owner has one vote per lot with the SMEHA.
3. Annual Association fees are $400/year (subject to change per association).
4. Only one cabin per lot is allowed (county zoning laws).
5. Cabins must be constructed 35 feet from property lines.
6. Cabins must not be taller than 36 feet.
7. Cabin living areas must be greater than 1,000 square feet.
8. Cabin exteriors must be of log, stone, and/or brick materials.
9. Owner may wait any amount of time before beginning construction.
10. Exterior construction must be completed within 12 months of start.
